We are looking for a postdoc candidate to apply for Individual Fellowship from “Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions - Global Fellowship program” that finances the personal living cost of the postdoc (2-3 years), the travel expenses as well as the project needs.

Candidates should hold a PhD title or MSc with 4 years’ experience in investigation. Candidates should either have European Nationality or had long-term residency in Europe or Associated Country (That is: from non-European nationality that lived in Europe or Associated Country for consecutive 5 years, in which the candidate did not leave Europe for a period which is longer than consecutive 6 months and 10 months in total, and did not spent more than 12 months in Colombia in the last 3 years).

The postdoc must spend one or two years at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia under the direction of Dr. Ziv Arbeli and then an additional year at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Hauke Smidt.

The objective is to study aerobic and anaerobic biotransformation of Toxaphene and would involve metagenomic, meta-transcriptomic and meta-proteomic of Enrichment cultures with toxaphene degradation capacity, as well as analytical tools such as GC/MS to Identify the transformation products.

Application Deadline: 9/9/2020. Starting date (in Colombia): March 2021 to September 2022, Duration in Colombia 1-2 years. Duration in the Netherland, 1 year (2-3 years in total)
